Rankings (as you see in your google bar "page rank" is from 1-Low to 10-High) are absolutely not important for making sure you show up for a keyword or phrase. We have seen websites that have rankings of 1 and 2 come up before sites with rankings of 6 7 and even 8. However, we also know the value of page rank. We know that if you are in position 10 on a SERP (Search Engine Results Page) and your competitor is in position 6 (Higher in the results than you) and you both have the same Page Rank, that you have to work on content and your linking structure needs to be analyzed, NOT your Page Rank. When your competitor is beating you in position and they have a higher page rank, it could be a primary obstacle .
